Train campaign taken to TfL

September 11, 2009

TfL I joined my fellow Lib Dem prospective MPs, Tamora Langley and Alex Feakes at a meeting with Ian Brown, the Managing Director for London Rail recently to discuss the future of the Victoria to Bellingham line. We’ve been campaigning hard to get this line re-instated, after plans to introduce it were scrapped. The line was planned as compensation for the loss of the South London Line, which itself is due to be cut to make way for the East London Line Extension. Hundreds of local residents have backed our campaign and we explained what a huge boost it would give to our area. Transport for London have now agreed to review all rail services in Southeast London and we’ll be keeping up the pressure on save the Victoria to Bellingham line. You can help be signing our petition HERE.
