Is the Labour Mayor about to join the Lib Dems?

September 16, 2009

Pensiorers Day

I’ve been out and about this week, attending the Blackheath Assembly, the Lee Manor Society’s Autumn Party at the wonderful Stark Gallery and the launch of ‘Framed’, an outstanding exhibition by Network Arts Lewisham members. Today I joined Pensioner’s Day in Catford. The Labour Mayor Sir Steve Bullock gave a speech explaining the need for cuts in public spending. He suggested three areas where these cuts could be made; the Trident missile system, Heathrow’s third runway and ID cards… which is exactly what the Lib Dems have been saying for years!
